The Volunteers for the Handicapped Association is bringing in THE DIAMONDS, a 50-80’s oo-wop group, for a fundraiser at the Myles Reif Center in Grand Rapids on Saturday, Dec 20th at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Reeds Drug in Grand Rapids (218-326-3453) or at the Reif (218-327-5780). This year we are supporting Ronda Johnson, of Deer River, to cover her costs to participate in the world competition of deaf women’ basketball. This Deaflympics, as it is termed, is a competition for winning the gold medal for the U.S.A.
